Documentation That Speeds Quoting (and Reduces Rework)

March 13, 2024 · 3 min

When quotes take longer than expected, it’s often because information arrives late or in the wrong format. Engineering teams typically need spec alignment, while QA teams look for traceability and clear documentation.

To speed the process, prepare inputs that map directly to the supplier’s capability: family + grade targets, requested properties (such as density range and MFI/MFR), and the application notes that influence additive selection.

During quotation, ask for datasheets, typical specification ranges, and available certification. With those in place, your team can validate faster and avoid last-minute grade swaps.
